If you have fallen into a fashion slump, and on even your best day you’d describe your laptop bag as boring or ugly, then wait until you see these!
Maddie Powers, of pulp fiction cover BookPurse fame, has teamed with Mobile Edge to bring some of the sassiest laptop bags I’ve seen in ages. Take a look at the retro-goodness…

There are two styles so far: the Cutebug Sheba Bag for 14.1? laptops and the Cutebug Messenger Bag for 15.4? laptops.

Boomer Esiason interviewed on ESPN

Matthew Olivolo November 7th, 2007

Boomer Esiason, former NFL quarterback and President of the Boomer Esiason Foundation, was recently interviewed on ESPN.com. He spoke about how he has vowed to make a difference for those affected with cystic fibrosis. His son Gunnar has cystic fibrosis and the video shows early childhood video of how Boomer and his family have helped Gunnar battle this terrible disease.

Mobile Edge is a proud sponsor of the Boomer Esiason Foundation, and donates 10 percent of the sales price of each BEF laptop case we sell back to the Foundation.

This is a very inspirational video. Click here to see how Gunnar is doing today with this illness.

Mobile Edge Sheba Bag Featured on CNET Reviews

CuteBug Sheba Laptop Bag

CNET Editors RatingMost women’s laptop bags we see function as a computer carrier first, fashion accessory second. The $80 Mobile Edge Cutebug Sheba reverses that order: it’s a cute bag that you can also use to carry your laptop. Created in partnership with Chicago-based Maddie Powers, the bag’s vinyl front flap features a striking image taken from a midcentury pulp magazine. Inside, a removable laptop sleeve provides a modicum of protection for your machine, and a handful of organizer pockets keep pens and other items contained.

The vintage magazine cover art on the flap of the Cutebug Sheba provides a lot of its appeal. Against a pink backdrop, a pinup girl looks out at you while resting her head on a manicured hand. The cover line next to her reads, “Kisses and more kisses”; above her, on the top of the bag, you see the magazine’s title in red: LOVE Short Stories. The overall effect is quite girly, but in a funky way. The bag’s back panel is made of black velvet, while the rest of the bag is made of typical black nylon. Two pockets on the sides–one with a Velcro flap, the other mesh–can hold a cell phone or an MP3 player and a small bottle of water.

Mobile Edge Featured in the NotebookReview Notebook Case Buyer’s Guide

By: Sarah Meyer of NotebookReview.com

If you just bought a brand new notebook a new bag to protect this very important piece of equipment could be a great gift idea for friends, loved ones, or even yourself. Our case buyers guide examines the different styles of notebook cases, provides the pros and cons of each, and links to reviews, manufacturer’s websites and low prices.

In short, this is your best resource for finding the perfect bag!

Backpacks

Backpack notebook cases are definitely geared towards students and young professionals. Varying in style, color and pricing, it’s easy to find the perfect backpack for you whether you are just starting high school, a college student, or a young (at heart) professional.

Mobile Edge Express Backpack Review - $60
Mobile Edge puts out a great backpack. They sell other styles and even have a line dedicated strictly to women, but they make a pretty great backpack. The Express is a great backpack for a student because the price is low, the design is perfect for textbooks, etc. and it’s still stylish.

Totes

Totes are typically geared towards stylish female professionals and college students who want to protect their notebook without having to give in to the all black briefcase/backpack that runs rampant over all the bag companies.

Mobile Edge Monaco Notebook Case Review - $100
This tote is part of Mobile Edge’s For Her collection. They have a great selection of totes and briefcases for women. The Monaco is one of more cost efficient bags on their website at $99.99 and is easy on the eye.

Mobile Edge & BEF: Together Fighting Cystic Fibrosis

Jason Gerdon November 2nd, 2007

I’m sure most of you out there have heard of Boomer Esiason before. He was an NFL quarterback from 1984-1997 and was the 1988 NFL MVP. More importantly, he started the Boomer Esiason Foundation (BEF) to fight against Cystic Fibrosis. Boomer and his wife Cheryl founded BEF after their son Gunnar was diagnosed with the disease in 1993.

Mobile Edge partnered with Boomer and BEF to raise money to help find a cure. We have since launched the Mobile Edge BEF Collection. This Collection for men and women helps to raise awareness and money, so that one day there will be a cure for Cystic Fibrosis. For every bag sold from the BEF Collection, Mobile Edge will donate 10 percent of the sales price to BEF.
