Mobile Edge Checkpoint Friendly Laptop Bags work

Matthew Olivolo August 3rd, 2009

I have to say I love technology. I was traveling with my ScanFast Backpack through John Wayne Airport this week and took a picture with my iPhone of this very helpful TSA agent. Yes, I said helpful and TSA in the same sentence. Although the Transportation Security Administration may have a bad rap, I have to say when I travel with any of our Checkpoint Friendly Laptop Bags I never have a problem. In fact I always receive the same response from all of them. I’ll watch and wait for them to say something. I’ll hear almost verbatim, “Nice bag, great design. I wish more people used these cases, it would help make the lines move quicker.”

TSA agent approves of my ScanFast BackpackThat is the exact reason why this collection was created in the first place. I posted this picture on my Facebook page and on TwitPic, and Technology Editor John Biggs posted the below post on one of my favorite blogs Tech Crunch.

This picture, taken at the John Wayne Airport by Matthew Olivolo of Mobile Edge shows one of his ScanFast backpacks being inspected by the nicest TSA lady I’ve ever seen. What does this suggest? That perhaps those checkpoint friendly backpacks are finally gaining some traction.

We’ve done reviews of these new backpacks but it’s great to see that they’re working in the wild. Anyone else have any experience with them at a checkpoint?Send me some of your experiences using your ScanFast laptop case and I will send you some FREE Mobile Edge gear. Send them to me at mo@mobileedge.com.
